“Welcome to my home for another night of Cooking with Chang'e, where I always say "Cooking is life and life is cooking!"” |
— Chang'e[src] |
Chang'e is a lunar deity.
History[]
Past[]

Not much is known of Chang'e's past before she became a deity, other than the fact that long ago, she left Earth and departed to the Moon. She would eventually become a goddess of the Moon and start her own cooking show, Cooking with Chang'e.
The First Ring[]
While MK was trying to steal from the Demon Bull King's nose ring, Chang'e told the audience of her show that next week she would teach them how to make moon cakes.
Cooking with Chang'e[]
Chang'e discovered that her recipe book was stolen by MK, Monkey King, and Pigsy. She confronted them to demand the book back, but briefly stopped to take pictures with MK and Monkey King. When she was done, she learned from MK that they took the blue Ring of Samadhi as well. Chang'e explained how she found the ring, allowing MK and the others to keep it, but only if they gave her recipe book back. At first, Chang'e was disappointed that Pigsy took the book until the latter revealed that he intended to give the book back along with one of his recipes. She assured Pigsy as she mentioned her motto, only for Monkey King to mock their love for cooking. After the two lashed out on him, Chang'e invited them to stay with her awhile, since she had no one to hang with except the bunny mechs.
Later, Chang'e had Pigsy be a guest star in her show so the audience could know about one of Pigsy's family recipes.
Better Than We Found It[]
Chang'e was out in her garden when Azure lost control over his power and the moon started to crack.
Personality[]
Chang'e is bubbly, sweet, and loves her work.

Relationships[]
Pigsy[]
In "Cooking with Chang'e", it was shown that Pigsy is actually a huge fan of Chang'e and her cooking show, seeing her as an inspiration to him. At first, she was mad at Pigsy for taking her recipe book until he explained that he took it so he could leave one of his noodle recipes as a thank-you gift. Chang'e empathized with Pigsy when he explained why he took her book, and later letting him be a guest star on her cooking show.
MK and Monkey King[]
Before actually meeting them, Chang'e heard about MK and Monkey King and became a fan of the two, even keeping Monkey King-themed merch around her kitchen such as cereal and a training card. When they came to the Moon, she was more interested in having a photo with MK and Monkey King, even though it was during the time she thought they came to steal her recipe book.

Trivia[]
- Chang'e's first appearance is technically in "The First Ring", where her voice can be heard on the Demon Bull King's TV.
- Her association with rabbits, both within mythology and within Monkie Kid, comes from the popular interpretation in East Asia that the dark markings on the Moon resemble a rabbit.[1]
- Her logo was based on the LEGO Classic Space logo.
- Her hair was reused by Wyldfyre to Ninjago: Dragons Rising.
