The Color Stones are five ancient stones used by Nüwa.
History[]
Past[]
Nüwa used the Color Stones to repair the damaged Pillar of Heaven after a catastrophic event, preventing the universe from falling into chaos. To ensure the continuous mending of the pillar, Nüwa entrusted the Color Stones to the Four Symbols and the Jade Emperor, as they were the only ones capable of handling the stones without being overwhelmed by their power.[1]
The Vermillion Bird was given the red Color Stone, the Black Tortoise received the blue Color Stone, the Teal Dragon was entrusted with the green Color Stone, the White Tiger possessed the purple Color Stone, and the Jade Emperor held the yellow Color Stone. While most people knew that the guardians were the Four Symbols, the fact that the Jade Emperor was also a guardian of a Color Stone remained a mystery.[2] Over time, the Yellow Color Stone transformed into an energy core that the Jade Emperor harnessed.[3]
However, concerns arose within the Brotherhood about the Jade Emperor's reluctance to use his powers for the benefit of humanity during his rule over the Celestial Realm. Unaware of the Jade Emperor's role as the guardian of the yellow Color Stone, the Brotherhood planned to assassinate him and seize his powers to improve the world.[4]
