Five Phases Mountain was a mountain that previously imprisoned the Monkey King.
History[]
Long ago, after Monkey King caused Havoc in Heaven and tried to overthrow the Jade Emperor. After he was defeated, he was punished to be trapped alone inside of Five Phases Mountain for five-hundred years.
Once, Monkey King's old friend Macaque brought him a peach, which he rejected.
After his punishment was over, Monkey King was freed from the mountain by Tang Sanzang, resulting it cracking open and being destroyed.
