“I don't know if this all happened because it was destined to, but I have to believe that I found the staff so I could use it for good. To help people. So that's exactly what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna take my staff and protect this world!” |

MK managed to escape the Chaos Beyond and made his way back to the Burning Mountain. There, he attempted to harness the energy of the Color Stones through the Golden Staff to repair the Pillar of Heaven, but his efforts were in vain. In a bid to exert more strength on the Golden Staff, he inadvertently caused the energy of the purple Color Stone to erupt.
Eventually, MK passed the Golden Staff to the Monkey King, who wielded it to shatter the yellow Color Stone. Later, at Flower Fruit Mountain, the Golden Staff was set atop a rock, where it radiated Chaos.
