Extended

When the heroes' drone crashes in the ocean, they are captured by the Dragon of the East, Mei's distant uncle! Furious with Monkey King for stealing the staff eons ago, he confiscates the map and imprisons the heroes... all except Mei! Now it's up to her to retake the map and save her friends before Macaque catches up to them![2]

Plot[]

Descending further into the depths of the East Sea, Mei's concern grow as she advises Tang to reassess his initial optimism regarding their survival after the crash. Urgently, MK implores Monkey King to take immediate action. Unexpectedly, the Dragon Turtle submarine emerges, transporting them to the Dragon Palace of the East Sea. A feeling of recognition washes over Monkey King as he reveals that this palace is where he acquired the Golden Staff from the Dragon of the East. However, both Pigsy and MK acknowledge that Monkey King had actually stolen the staff. Monkey King tries to greet the Dragon of the East, but the latter immediately accuses him of returning to his domain after humiliating and tricking him in the past. Monkey King was confused and tries to explain that there has been a misunderstanding regarding the staff, but the Dragon of the East interrupts him, furious that he has learned the staff has fallen into the hands of the Lady Bone Demon. The Dragon of the East threatens to execute Monkey King on the spot for his actions. Monkey King, however, remains confident and informs the Monkie Kids that he has a plan. He reminds them of his identity as Sun Wukong, but before he can continue, the Dragon of the East used his Dracokinesis to knocks Monkey King back, warning him not to try to deceive him again.

As the Palace Guards prepare to execute them, Mei pulled out the Dragon Blade, which catches the Dragon of the East's attention. He demands to know where she got it, and Mei explains that it belongs to her family. The Dragon of the East recognizes the blade as belonging to his brother, the Dragon of the West, and realizes that Mei is one of his descendants. MK tries to redirect the dragon's attention to Lady Bone Demon. He takes out the Map to the Rings of Samadhi to explain their plan, but the Dragon of the East snatched the map away, leaving MK frustrated. The Dragon of the East challenges MK's audacity in guiding to protect his people, considering that it was MK who unintentionally unleashed the Lady Bone Demon, resulting in the resurgence of chaos in the world. MK, tries to dismiss the remark, acknowledging the pain it may have caused, but striving to appear unaffected by the dragon's words. Mei is summoned by the Dragon of the East to the palace, while the others are to be imprisoned. As Mei is escorted by the Attendant, she reassures her friends that she will find a solution, but the Monkey King stresses the significance of retrieving the map. Sandy is told to stay behind and tidy up the Team Dronecopter, while the rest of the group is led to the palace dungeons. In the dungeons, Tang started to realize that his mother was right about the consequences of associating with the wrong crowd. Pigsy, on the other hand, took matters into his own hands and decided to break them out using a spoon. Despite the skepticism from MK, Pigsy remained confident in the spoon's ability to solve their problem.
