The Jade Maiden was a goddess from the Celestial Realm and the lover of Kui Mulang.

The Jade Maiden was once a deity from the Heavenly Realms, where she fell in love with a Celestial Guard named Kui Mulang. However, their love was prohibited. By Kui Mulang's hands, the Jade Maiden's immortality was sacrificed, waiting to reunite with him as mortals. However, while Kui Mulang was reborn as a demon, the Jade Maiden wasn't, resulting in the Yellow-Robed Demon to steal the souls of others, prolonging his life until the Jade Maiden's rebirth.

Trivia[]
- In Journey to the West, her reincarnated form is known as "Baihuaxiu" (百花羞). She was the princess of the Precious Image Kingdom.[1]
- Kui Mulang kidnapped her and forced her to marry him. After Tripitaka had been taken prisoner by him, he convinced the princess to deliver a letter to the king of the Precious Image Kingdom. She was then rescued by the Monkey King and returned home to her kingdom.[2]
