Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born[]

During the chase between MK and Red Son in Megapolis, Mei came to the rescue and took MK to Pigsy's Noodles. Once there, Mei decided to capture the moment by taking a selfie with her phone. She commented on how much fun MK and Red Son seemed to be have, expressing her desire to join in as well. However, MK revealed that he nearly died during the ordeal. Mei acknowledged that but suggested celebrating his survival with a round of Monkey Mech. She even suggests inviting Red Son. However, learning that Red Son was thwo one who tried to kill MK, Mei jokingly asks for Red Son's address so she can confront him for his actions. Pigsy called out to MK, questioning Pigsy's Noodles got a zero-star review. Mei interjected with a somewhat misguided sense of enthusiasm, congratulating Pigsy on the zero-star review.

MK attempted to convey the concept of the Demon Bull King's liberation to Tang, while Mei restrained an infuriated Pigsy. MK showed off the Golden Staff to his friends, but Mei initially mistake it for a regular stick. MK explains that they need to return the staff to the Monkey King. In attempt to show that the staff was authentic, MK accidentally extended it, crushing the table Mei and Tang were sitting at. Pigsy questioned where the Demon Bull King was now, and Mei revealed that he was at the shoe store. The group was shocked, and Mei showed them a trending hashtag about the Demon Bull King to confirm her statement.

Coming Home[]

At Pigsy's Noodles, Mei engaged in a game of Monkey Mech with MK. She took the opportunity to mock MK, confidently stating that he would never be able to defeat her. However, Mei's attention was diverted when her phone began to ring, revealing her mother on the other end. Mei promptly answered the call. Reluctantly, Mei agreed to take on the responsibility of housesitting while her parents were away. Mei proceeded to delve into the complexities of her relationship with her parents to Sandy, but before she could finish, MK interjected with a suggestion of having a sleepover at the Dragon House. Initially, Mei rejected the idea, but MK persisted, pleading and begging until Mei finally relented and agreed to the sleepover.

At the Dragon House, MK, Sandy, and Mo becomes fascinated by house's appearance and tells Mei that it must've been great to live there. Although, Mei says she's not sure, as she didn't get to do what she wanted while she was growing up at the time, since her parents turned their house into a museum dedicated to their family and she was expected to be extremely careful with everything and was not allowed to play like other kids and be rough and tumble.

After getting inside, MK and Sandy started messing with all the Dragon Family's artifacts, which bothers Mei until she yells at them to stop. Moments later, Mei gives a tour to MK, Sandy, and Mo until they come across the Dragon Blade, where Mei says that it used to belong to one of her ancestors, the Dragon of the West.

At the game room, Mei tells MK, Sandy, and Mo to stay while she gets everything ready. However, when Mei left, MK accidentally breaks the pinball machine and tries to fix it, but only for the pinball machine to break even more.

Meanwhile, General Ironclad breaks into Mei's home to steal the Dragon blade, so Mei has no choice but to use it to defend her home. She manages to defeat the general, but then Mei realizes her parents came back due to her father forgetting their luggage. Mei apologizes for the mess but instead of being angry, her parents tell her how proud they are of her because the blade's power only shows itself to those who embrace the history of their family. Mei's mother then tells her daughter that while they don't always see eye to eye they love her before they embrace.

Noodles or Death[]

At the Sea-Crate HQ, Mei and Sandy were inside discussing if they even need a headquarters until MK comes in to tell Mei and Sandy that Pigsy is missing. When Mei checks the camera she installed in Tang, MK realises that Tang is also missing and the others then notice that Pigsy and Tang were kidnapped by the Spider Queen.

Later, Mei and the others ventured across the Silken Web Cave by using Sandy's Speedboat to rescue Pigsy and Tang, but only for them to get ambushed by the Spider Queen. However, when Mei dropped the Dragon Blade when she was caught, Pigsy and Tang were able to use the blade to free themselves and the others to rescue MK, who was being chased by the Spider Queen.

After MK's Team confronted the Spider Queen, Mei and the others attempt to rescue MK but only for the Spider Queen to attack MK again, but only for her to cause a giant hole, causing Mei and the others to fall down until Sandy rescued them by using his Speedboat and escaping.

Calabash[]

At Pigsy's Noodles, Mei was engrossed in her phone until MK burst in, having been released from the Calabash. However, when MK expressed his relief that Mei, Pigsy, and Tang were not perfect, Mei and the others became angry with him. Mei threatened to reset MK's Monkey Mech character as punishment for his comment.

The Great Wall Race[]

MK and Mei reprimand Pigsy for his limited understanding of the Peaches of Immortality. Tang intervenes to offer a comprehensive explanation about the Peaches of Immortality, highlighting that Monkey King had consumed them to attain immortality. Pigsy, feeling perplexed, raises doubts about whether Monkey King was already immortal at that time. Mei clarifies that the importance lies in the fact that the victor of the recent Great Wall Race will acquire "eternal life."

Mei and MK discussed the Great Wall Race, but Mei was taken aback when she discovered that MK was also participating. Frustrated by this revelation, Mei confidently asserts that there is no way MK could beat her in the race. MK, however, argues that as a delivery boy, he possesses excellent driving skills. Despite MK's argument, Mei remains unconvinced. Just then, they notice Tang leaving the shop. MK becomes upset when he realizes that Tang is supporting Mei as the superior driver. Nevertheless, MK remains confident in his ability to emerge victorious in the race. MK reminded MK that having a vehicle is a prerequisite for the race. MK responded confidently, assuring Mei that he already possessed the tuk-tuk.

Skeleton Key[]

At Pigsy's Noodles, Mei excitedly cheered for MK as she watched the Mayor presenting the Skeleton Key for him. The Mayor enthusiastically explained that the key possesses the extraordinary ability to unlock anything. Mei, intrigued by the possibilities, suggests various scenarios such as accessing a pet shop filled with puppies. The Mayor confirms that the key can indeed open any lock. As the Mayor vanished, Mei began to question the Mayor's identity.

Mei joined MK as they traveled to various locations in Megapolis, enjoying themselves with the Skeleton Key in their possession. Eventually, MK proposed that the Skeleton Key had the power to lock anything, but Mei quickly countered by stating that all keys ultimately served the same purpose. However, MK suggested using the Skeleton Key to play a trick on Pigsy by locking him out. Mei found the idea amusing and agreed to go along with it. MK and Mei had just pulled the prank on Pigsy when they discovered that Red Son was inside MK's house the whole time. Red Son stolen the Skeleton Key and fled in his Inferno Truck. Mei quickly summoned her bike and set off in pursuit of Red Son.

Revenge of the Spider Queen[]

Mei faced a challenge while trying to fold the dumplings during New Year's celebrations. She mentioned that it would have been easier if she had fingers, but she didn't let that stop her from continuing. Meanwhile, Pigsy grew irritated by MK's absence and demanded to know his whereabouts. Mei clarified that MK was busy training with Monkey King to better himself for the upcoming year. Just as they were talking, Sandy arrived with a bunch of delicious treats, which brought immense joy to Mei. As New Year's went on, Mei was disappointed that MK was not present to witness the floats passing by. She enthusiastically pointed out the dragon and the monkey floats. Suddenly they noticed a spider float. To their astonishment, it unveiled the presence of the Spider Queen and her henchmen. Mei and the others were left in disbelief at the unexpected return of their foe.

As the Spider Queen launched her attack, Mei and the Monkie Kids swiftly escaped on Sandy's boat. Mei couldn't help but worry about MK's safety, but Pigsy pointed out that MK had Monkey King by his side, beliveing that he was already safe. However, Mei's anxiety heightened when the Spider-Bots suddenly appeared, causing her to urge Sandy to start the boat immediately. Unfortunately, their situation took a turn for the worse when the boat's controls malfunctioned, adding to their challenging predicament. Just when Huntsman and the Strong Spider arrived, Mei and the rest prepared themselves for a fierce battle, but to their surprise, MK arrived just in time. With the team reunited, Sandy stumbled upon the remote for the Team Dronecopter. They wasted no time and sped away, with Sandy proudly claimed that he had been saving the Team Dronecopter for a special occasion, earning praise from Mei for its usefulness. However, her relief was short-lived as she realized that Megapolis was still engulfed in chaos. MK informed Mei and the others that Monkey King had been captured by the Spider Queen. Mei attempted to comfort MK by assuring him that they could defeat the Spider Queen, but MK responded harshly and expressed doubt about their chances, which upset Mei. Pigsy interjected, explaining that nobody truly knew what to do in such situations. However, Mei, Tang, and Sandy remained resolute in their determination to find a solution together. Suddenly, Red Son appeared on the scene. Without hesitation, Mei and the others confronted Red Son, assuming that he was working for the Spider Queen. However, Red Son clarified that his father had been captured by the Spider Queen and he intended to take the Team Dronecopter for himself to continue his mission, as the Inferno Jet had been destroyed. This caused Mei and the rest to voice their objections. Red Son informed Mei and the others that he can create an antidote for the venom of the Spider Queen. However, he mentioned that the necessary ingredients were located in the Celestial Realm. Mei and Pigsy were taken aback by MK's suggestion to trust Red Son, as Mei pointed out that Red Son cannot be trusted due to his reputation. She even goes as far as giving him the nickname "Red Boy." When Red Son insulted Pigsy and Sandy for their traits, Mei attempted to attack him, but MK intervened and officially supported Red Son's plan.

Red Son made preparations to open the portal to the Celestial Realm, and during this process, he mentioned that although mortals could undertake the journey, he reluctantly acknowledged that it might not be entirely safe. This revelation left Mei and the rest of the team taken aback, but they pressed on and eventually arrived at their desired destination within the realm. As Red Son grappled with uncertainty regarding the whereabouts of the antidote's ingredients, Mei playfully taunted him for his lack of knowledge. Tang stepped in to provide some clarity, explaining that Lao Tzu's pills could be found in his lab, the Heavenly Orchard housed the Peaches of Immortality, and the Celestial Palace was home to the Trigram Furnace. Red Son had planned to acquire the Peach of Immortality on his own, but Mei, who still harbored doubts about him, intervened. She insisted on accompanying him to keep a watchful eye. However, when Red Son patted her head and attempted to compare her to a pet, Mei retaliated by biting his hand.

Mei brought up the topic of Red Son aiding MK in defeating the Demon Bull King as they quietly entered the Heavenly Orchard. Red Son refuted the claim, stating that he would never support someone like MK. Nevertheless, Mei pointed out that Red Son was currently assisting them, which led her to label him as a hero. Subsequently, Mei took Red Son along for a live stream, showcasing their courageous exploits while they embarked on the quest to find the Immortal Peach before Mei proceeded ahead.

Season 2[]

Sleep Bug[]

Mei discovered an app called Sleep Bug and decided to give it a try. Little did she know that the app would make her fall into a deep sleep. Eventually, MK intervened and deleted the app, undoing its effects. However, Mei and Tang were upset with MK as he failed to acknowledge his indirect role in Pigsy's injury.

Dumpling Destruction[]

Mei was capturing moments of MK mopping the floor when suddenly, their attention was diverted by the astonishing sight of a Celestial Dumpling making its way towards Megapolis. Both Mei and Pigsy were left dumbfounded by the peculiar occurrence of a dumpling heading towards Earth. Sensing the urgency of the situation, MK proceeded to explain his plan to Mei, Pigsy, and Tang, emphasizing the need to swiftly journey to Flower Fruit Mountain in search of a solution to obliterate the celestial threat. However, Mei dozed off during MK's explanation, only to be awakened by the mention of someone with intelligence, courage, and remarkable hair being required for the mission. Assuming MK was referring to her, Mei's hopes were dashed when Tang interjected, questioning if he was the one being referred to. In a rather dismissive manner, MK pushed Mei aside and revealed that Tang was indeed the chosen one due to his expertise on Monkey King. Mei, determined to prove herself, insisted that the mission was meant for her and MK, even highlighting the fact that she possessed the White Horse Dragon Jet. Disregarding her plea, MK, accompanied by Tang on the Cloud Bike, set off towards Flower Fruit Mountain. Filled with anger, Mei couldn't help but express her frustration, questioning MK's decision to let Tang take the wheel.

Upon their arrival in Megapolis, Tang and MK met with Mei and Pigsy. Mei was taken aback to see them holding a Mystical Vase instead of a traditional weapon. She couldn't resist asking about their choice, which led to a moment of shared laughter as MK and Tang responded at the same time. Just as Mei was about to throw a punch, Pigsy stepped in and proposed using the vase for its intended purpose. With Mei, Pigsy, and Tang working together, MK successfully sucked the dumpling into the vase, much to everyone's relief. However, Mei remained skeptical and questioned the effectiveness of the vase. Before she could finish her sentence, the vase suddenly exploded, scattering the remnants of the dumpling across Megapolis.

Season 4[]

Familiar Tales[]

Monkie Kid-S4Ep1-02-35

Mei piloted the Dragon Jet as she accompanied MK on a mission to thwart the Gold and Silver Demons, who were attacking the city using the Golden Serpent Shears. Mei couldn't help but tease MK, playfully suggesting that he should have chosen a different vehicle other than the tuk-tuk. The Gold and Silver Demons began hurling all sorts of Ne Zha's artifacts at Mei in an attempt to stop her. The Dragon Jet was destroyed in a fiery explosion caused by the Gold Brick, sending Mei hurtling towards the ground. MK transformed the tuk-tuk into the Combi Mech, and managed to convert the wreckage of the Dragon Jet into a jetpack, saving Mei.

Monkie Kid-S4Ep1-05-30

As MK pretended to execute the Gold and Silver Demons, the Demon Accountant intervene, and Mei gave the demons a warning not to attempt such a heinous act again. After the demons left, Mei enthusiastically began capturing selfies with the scissors, describing its danger level akin to that of Lady Bone Demon, to both MK and her audience. Observing MK busily packing all the artifacts, Mei asked if he was confident in traveling to Flower Fruit Mountain on this journey alone. MK assured her with a resolute "yes" and swiftly drove away. As MK departed, Mei's gaze shifted towards Pigsy, who remarked on MK's intense preoccupation, preventing him from continuing his charade of delivering noodles.

New Adventures[]

Mei and the others were led by MK to Flower Fruit Mountain, where MK explained that Monkey King had been trapped inside a scroll by the Ink Demons. Pigsy expressed concern about the success of their plan to rescue Monkey King using Tang's powers, but MK reassured them, saying it was just another thrilling adventure. Mei noticed that MK was acting strangely and asked if he was alright, but he brushed off her concern and led them to the Treasure Room. When Mei saw the room, she couldn't help but point out that Monkey King was quite the hoarder. Sandy picked up the scroll, causing it to unravel and release the Ink Demons. Tang tried to use his powers to stop them, but unfortunately, he failed. The Ink Demons transformed into the pilgrims and launched an attack. Mei was saved by MK, but the rest of the group was sucked into the scroll. Mei and MK were on the brink of an imminent attack from the Ink Demons. However, just as the demons were about to strike, a powerful slash emerged, obliterating them in an instant. The sudden turn of events left Mei bewildered, trying to comprehend the unexpected attack. Moments later, both Mei and MK were astounded to witness Azure Lion, wielding his sword, as the one responsible. Mei couldn't help but be captivated by the sword's elegance, voicing her desire to possess the weapon. As Azure Lion vanquished the Ink Demons for a second time and sealed the scroll, Mei and MK seized the opportunity to launch an attack on him, taking the scroll. Azure Lion requested the scroll from MK, who then instructed Azure Lion to give it to them. Mei corrected MK by stating that they already possessed the scroll. MK then demanded Azure Lion to release their friends from the scroll without any physical confrontation. Azure Lion questioned whether they expected him to believe that they were not responsible for stealing the scroll, even though they currently had it in their possession. Mei and MK affirmed their innocence, with Mei adding that they were unaware of the scroll's contents.

Azure Lion burst into laughter, unable to contain his amusement. Mei couldn't help but ask him why he was laughing. Azure Lion explained that he was familiar with both Mei and MK. Mei demanded to know Azure Lion's identity. Azure Lion introduced himself and began to explain the significance of the Scroll of Memory to both Mei and MK. Azure Lion went on to explain that he suspected Monkey King of being responsible for the theft of the scroll from the Underworld. He revealed that Monkey King was once his sworn brother, but their relationship had become strained over time. Azure Lion admitted that Monkey King had a tendency to keep people at a distance, making it difficult to get along with him. Mei couldn't help but wonder if this meant that Azure Lion was MK's sworn uncle. She playfully teased MK about having an uncle, causing him to clarify that Monkey King was not his biological father. Azure Lion pondered the possibility that Monkey King had taken the scroll out of nostalgia in his age, as it contained the Journey to the West. Azure Lion clarified that the Scroll of Memory was designed to document every historical event and serve as a punishment for wrongdoers throughout eternity. He further explained that the scroll possessed a protective curse, which had become uncontrollable over time due to negligence. Azure Lion cautioned against MK's idea of opening the scroll to rescue their friends, emphasizing that it was already too late to save them. MK and Mei were determined to stay by their friends' side, even if it meant taking a risk. Azure Lion acknowledged the strong bond between him and Monkey King and suggested that they could find a way to help, but time was of the essence. This revelation shocked Mei and MK, but Azure Lion reassured them by reminding them of their sworn brotherhood. He made it clear that it was their responsibility to locate their friends. Mei confidently agreed, and Azure Lion explained that breaking the protective curse of the Scroll of Memory was necessary to escape. This would require the collective strength of the team. Azure Lion then asked MK to trust him and hand over the scroll. Mei agreed, and MK passed it to Azure Lion. Using the Scroll of Memory, Azure Lion transported MK and Mei to Chang'an.

Court of the Yellow Robed Demon[]

Pigsy and Tang engaged in a conversation about Zhu Bajie while Mei balanced the Dragon Blade on her nose. Mei anticipatied of meeting Ao Lie, firmly believing that he would live up to her expectations of being cool. Just as Tang was about to challenge Mei's perception of Ao Lie, MK chimed in, sharing his own hopes to meet his ancestor. This prompted Mei to once again bring up her belief that Monkey King was MK's father, a notion that Tang readily agreed with, citing how MK had inherited Monkey King's powers, much like the others had inherited the abilities of the other pilgrims. However, MK still harbored doubts, pondering over the reason why Monkey King had not brought up the topic. Mei, in a sarcastic tone, pointed out that Monkey King was not exactly known for his transparency when it came to sharing information. MK proposed the idea of simply asking Monkey King about it once they find his stone at Flower Fruit Mountain. Mei was perplexed by the mention of Monkey King's stone, prompting MK to explain the significance of the magical stone from which Monkey King originated. MK further disclosed that he had been experiencing visions of Monkey King standing beside the stone ever since he accessed the Scroll of Memory. Convinced that finding the stone would lead them to Monkey King, MK believed that Monkey King could provide them with the necessary clarification, assuring them that he was not MK's father. The protective curse materialized, catching everyone off guard. Tang desperately attempted to teleport the Monkie Kids to safety, but his cheat sheet was snatched away by a gust of wind. Despite Tang's worries, Mei urged him to disregard the lost sheet and proceed with the teleportation. Taking on the appearance of Ink Yellowtusk, the curse launched a relentless assault on MK. Mei wielded the Dragon Blade to fend off the attack, but to her dismay, the curse managed to shatter the blade, leaving her stunned. The force of the impact sent her and MK hurtling back into Tang, resulting in the Monkie Kids being scattered and transported to different locations.

Witnessing the destruction of the Dragon Blade, Mei couldn't hold back her tears. However, her sorrow was interrupted as a group of guards encircled her, forcefully escorting her to their leader, Kui Mulang, who awaited her at his castle. Mei was insistent on finding out what Kui Mulang wanted. In response, Kui Mulang made the decision to divulge his personal tale to Mei. Despite Mei's attempt to leave, Kui Mulang proceeded to explain that he was once a celestial being, possessing immortality, but willingly relinquished it in order to be with the Jade Maiden. While awaiting the Jade Maiden's rebirth, Kui Mulang resorted to consuming the souls of the most formidable, thereby prolonging his own lifespan. Furthermore, Kui Mulang revealed his sinister intentions to consume Mei's soul as his next target. Mei launched an assault against Kui Mulang. Regrettably, her efforts proved futile as he restrained her. Subsequently, Mei was imprisoned alongside another captive.

Mei attempted to kick down the door but fails. The man found Mei's actions amusing and compared her impulsiveness to that of his sister. Mei requested the man's assistance in breaking down the door, but the man suggests that she create a new sword. Mei became frustrated and questioned the man's decision to sit idly by and waste his powers. Mei emphasized that failure to do something was a sign of carelessness and insignificance. The man explained that he was cautious in his actions to protect those he cared about. He told Mei that a sword was powerless without the hand that wielded it, implying that she had the power within herself to protect others. Confused, Mei asked for the clarification, to which the man explained that it was a wise saying he came up with on the spot.

Soon, Mei and the man were brought in for Kui Mulang's ritual. Kui Mulang prepared to kill the man for his soul, prompting Mei to intervene as she reforged the Dragon Blade, making it resemble Azure Lion's sword. Despite Kui Mulang's aggression, Mei managed to fend him off and protect the man. As Kui Mulang was down, Mei said to the man that she believed it was the appropriate moment to act recklessly. Soon, Kui Mulang transformed into his wolf form and threatened to attack, but the man created a shield to protect himself and Mei. Mei was surprise and questioned why he didn't act sooner. The man responded that he believed the timing was appropriate for action. Tang arrived and recognized the man to be Ao Lie, surprising Mei. Mei conveyed her admiration for Ao Lie's composure, to which he responded with humility. Ao Lie then transformed into his dragon form as Mei watched in awe. Mei and Tang then teleport away from the castle.

Show Me the Monster[]

As they arrived by the Flowing Sands River, Tang, Mei, and Mo were greeted by Pigsy and Sandy. Mei called out to Sandy, who immediately hugged them all tightly. However, Tang reminded them that they needed to keep moving, while Mei revealed that Azure Lion had been manipulating them and they needed to find MK as soon as possible.

The Jade Emperor[]

Mei's meditation was disrupted by the sounds of the second assault on the Celestial Realm, compelling her to step away. Master Subodhi questions her intentions. Mei, fueled by determination, believed that they must go to the Celestial Realm to put an end to Azure. Unfazed by her defiance, Master Subodhi calmly reminded Mei that the Monkie Kids' were not yet prepared for such a perilous mission. In response, Mei raised the Dragon Blade against Master Subodhi. Mei demanded Master Subodhi to know why they were being held back. Master Subodhi emphasized that they had yet to grasp the true essence of their training and warned them that venturing forth prematurely would only lead to their death. Mei, acknowledging the absence of MK or the Monkey King, emphasized the importance of trying nonetheless. Sandy utilized the stars he had accumulated to craft the Cloud Airship, which served as their means of transportation to the Celestial Realm. Once the Cloud Airship was completed, Mei and the Monkie Kids equipped themselves and embarked on their journey to the Celestial Realm to stop the Brotherhood.

As the Monkie Kids arrived to the Celestial Realm, Mei greeted the Brotherhood. Azure Lion questions her actions, but Mei quickly shuts him down, retorting that she was the fool in question. She proceeds to use the Dragon Blade to retrieve the planks containing Monkey King, but her escape was interrupted by Peng and Yellowtusk's arrival. Pigsy and Sandy jump into battle to hold off the enemies, but they all collide with Tang and Ne Zha, causing Mei to drop the pieces holding Monkey King. Ne Zha warned Mei and the rest that they should not have come to the Celestial Realm and that he must stop the Brotherhood from reaching the Jade Emperor. Pigsy questions what will happen if he failed, but Ne Zha is determined to succeed, to which Mei agreed with.

The Emperor's Wrath[]

A Lifetime of Mistakes[]

As cracks appeared in the sky, Mei tried to look at the bright side of it by commenting on the beauty of the scene, but Pigsy pointed out the ominous feeling of the end of the world. Ne Zha told Mei and Pigsy that Azure had underestimated the Power of the Jade Emperor and cautioned that the universe would be destroyed if they failed to stop him. After Tang and Sandy mended the bamboo slip with tape, MK remained resolute in his quest to rescue Monkey King, despite Mei's misgivings about his survival.

The Plan Man[]

In Monkey King's lesson, Mei, Ne Zha, and the other Monkie Kids were educated on the significance of education to overcome the Brotherhood. Additionally, Monkey King discussed the strengths and weaknesses of Peng and Yellowtusk, pointing out that Peng was the most dangerous opponent they had faced, despite being the most fearful. Although Mei expressed her distaste for Peng, Monkey King cautioned them not to underestimate Azure, who he and MK would handle.

At the training grounds of Flower Fruit Mountain, Mei and the Monkie Kids engaged in a sparring session with Monkey King to improve their combat skills. Thanks to her possession of the Dragon Blade, Mei was able to obtain her Power-up armor. However, Pigsy was disappointed at not receiving any battle armor. In response, Mei playfully mimicked Master Subodhi and jokingly advised Pigsy that he should not have lost his ancestral weapon.

As the team regrouped to discuss their plan, Monkey King was interrupted by Mei's comment criticizing his plan-making abilities. Monkey King, feeling disappointed by Mei's hurtful remark, responded by clarifying that he had intended to convey that his plan-making skills simply needed improvement. Amid the conversation, MK proposed a plan to trap the Brotherhood inside the Scroll of Memory. MK proposed that they break into the Celestial Realm again using the Cloud Airship, and then he and Monkey King would work on getting the scroll of Memory away from Azure, while A Team and B Team keep Peng and Yellowtusk distracted. Pigsy asks which one was B Team. Mei jokingly responded that if he had to ask, he would be on Team B. As MK ended his plan, Mei suggested a new approach for the team's final fight against the Brotherhood. She acknowledges that in the past, they have always gone into final battles without a solid plan. Mei suggested a clever strategy of waiting for the perfect moment to strike, making it appear as if they had no plan at all. Meanwhile, MK and Monkey King work to distract Azure, while the others keep Peng and Yellowtusk busy, with Mei joining Macaque to fight Peng. By executing the plan, they hope to catch Azure off guard and retrieve the Scroll of Memory without a hitch.

While the team waited, Mei observed Tang preparing the monkeys for the upcoming battle, a sight that she found satisfactory. As soon as the Brotherhood launched their attack, Mei swiftly made her way to the cliff-side alongside Macaque and the Monkie Kids, entering through Macaque's shadow portal.

Rip and Tear[]

As Macaque and Peng engaged in battle, Mei emerged from a shadow portal. With the Dragon Blade at hand, Mei swiftly launched an assault on Peng, forcefully pushing them backwards. Despite Peng's infuriation and the derogatory insult hurled at her, Mei remained undeterred. Harnessing her Dracokinesis, she unleashed a powerful beam of energy from her sword, only to be met with Peng's defense using their wings. However, amidst the ongoing battle, their focus was abruptly diverted as MK underwent a transformation into his Mystic Monkey form, coinciding with the fragmentation of the universe.

The Storm Within/Claim to Flame[]

The Monkie Kids faced a fork in the road, leaving MK feeling unsure about which path to take. Mei and the others were urging MK to make a choice quickly. MK reflected on how finding the red Color Stone had been easier before, as they typically used maps or compasses to locate artifacts. Mei comforted MK, assuring them that they would figure things out together. Still, MK was concerned about not knowing where the other Color Stones were or what to do once they found them. Despite MK's worries, Mei, Pigsy, and Tang continued to encourage MK, believing they could achieve their goal. Sandy then called for silence, agreeing with MK's worries and proposing that they split into smaller groups to look for clues. Mei was admired for Sandy's leadership, and soon the group divided, with Mei taking to the skies in her plane.

While searching, Mei contacted Pigsy and Tang over the radio, pretending to be a truck driver named Mad Dawg. Unfortunately, she was suddenly engulfed in flames, causing her plane to crash. After the crash, Mei met Red Son and embraced him. Red Son quickly realized that Mei and her team were linked to the disturbances in reality. Mei partially confirmed this, explaining that the Monkie Kids were on a quest for the Color Stones while encountering the guardians, which surprised Red Son. Just then, they both noticed the fire again, and Red Son insisted that Mei join him to face the danger. Although, she complied, Mei insisted on being referred to as Mad Dawg.

Mei and Red Son made their way to Red Son's training temple, where Mei quickly identifies the source of her earlier troubles. Red Son shareed that he had been investigating the origins of the Samadhi Fire ever since their final battle with Lady Bone Demon. Mei concerned, pointing out that the fire was gone. Red Son finds this idea puzzling, as the Samadhi Fire is known for its indestructibility. Confused by Red Son's claims, Mei questions their relevance to their current situation. However, her attention was soon drawn to the Flame Sprite, which she found both fascinating and off-putting. Red Son admitted that he unintentionally created the Flame Sprite, which acted as a living replica of the Samadhi Fire. Surprised that Red Son would attempt to recreate such a dangerous force, Mei jokingly suggests he has made a serious mistake. Despite this, Red Son remained optimistic, believing that their combined experience with the Samadhi Fire would help them contain the Flame Sprite. Mei attempted to confront the creature directly, but Red Son cautioned her against her impulsive nature, explaining that this was why they don't often work together.

Red Son then laid out a plan, explaining that they need to activate the runes surrounding the Flame Sprite. He warns that if they succeed, they can extract the Samadhi Fire and channel it into the central rune, but failure would mean the universe would be destroyed. As the Flame Sprite paused, Mei and Red Son began to activate the runes. At first, it seemed like they were succeeding, but then Mei suddenly remembered her past encounter with the Samadhi Fire, which disrupted their ritual and provoked an attack from the Flame Sprite.

Mei opened up about her emotions regarding the recent catastrophic events in the world, feeling frustrated that while others seem to be gaining strength, she remained stuck and believes she had lost her connection to the Samadhi Fire. In the midst of her turmoil, they were suddenly attacked by the Flame Sprite, prompting Red Son to step in and defend Mei, although he was eventually forced back. Just as the Flame Sprite was about to unleash the Samadhi Fire on him, Mei took action with the Dragon Blade, successfully blocking the impending attack. Red Son realized that Mei was channeling the Samadhi Fire through her sword, and even though Mei tries to downplay her abilities by saying the lightning is nothing special, Red Son insists that she never truly lost the Samadhi Fire; it has always been within her grasp. Understanding this newfound way to harness the Samadhi Fire, Mei constructed the Dragon Mech, which she and Red Son then used to cut off the Flame Sprite's access to the Samadhi Fire.

Red Son was frustrated over the destruction of his temple, which Mei pointed out was a skill of the Monkie Kids. As she observed him looking at a photo of the Demon Bull Family and their food stand, she realized that they had intended to reopen their business before being trapped in the Scroll of Memory. Mei regretted for her mistakes during the ritual, confessing her fear of not being able to help. Red Son, in turn, shared his own feelings, revealing his wish to protect those he cares about, despite his demonic nature. Mei then extended an invitation to Red Son to join her on the mission to save the universe, which led him to question why she was asking him now when she hadn't before. Mei clarified that she had tried to reach out previously but had not received any replies. It dawned on her that Red Son didn't realize she was the one who had been sending him puppy videos as a form of communication than actual messages. While looking at a picture from a food festival, they both understood that most of the guardians were the Four Symbols, specifically meaning that the White Tiger and the Teal Dragon were also guardians. Mei concluded that this was the location where they could find the green and purple Color Stones. Before she took off in her plane, Mei promised Red Son that she would send him more puppy videos once she discovered the identity of the evil mastermind, but she accidentally left her phone behind.

When she met up with MK and Sandy, Mei crashed her plane into the Team Power Truck, causing its wheels to come off. She informed them about the White Tiger and Teal Dragon Festival, while Sandy was upset over the damage to his truck.
