Pigsy is the owner and head chef of Pigsy's Noodles, the descendant of Zhu Bajie, as well as a member of the Monkie Kids. Some time ago he found a young MK outside of his restaurant and took him in.
After the Demon Bull King was freed from his imprisonment, Pigsy assisted MK, Mei, and Tang by taking them to Sandy, who knew how to get them to Flower Fruit Mountain. When Pigsy, MK, and Mei went to the Flaming Mountains, MK was presumably killed by Princess Iron Fan. Despite this, Pigsy and the others had no choice but to go on without MK until they found out that MK survived and celebrated when he defeated the Demon Bull Family.
After some time, Pigsy continued to operate his noodle store while fighting off and Bull Clones. But when the Demon Bull King got possessed by Lady Bone Demon, Pigsy and the others helped MK by fighting off the Bull Clones while MK freed the Demon Bull King from the spirit's possession.
When the Spider Queen and her Spider-Bots started taking control of the civilians at New Year's, Pigsy and the rest of the Monkie Kids teamed up with Red Son to travel to the Celestial Realm to look for an antidote that can cure the civilians.
Following Lady Bone Demon's takeover of Megapolis, Pigsy and his friends set out to reforge the Samadhi Fire in order to defeat her. However, Pigsy began to question the trustworthiness of Monkey King and the Monkie Kids' connection to the pilgrims, which persisted until the final battle.
Imprisoned in the Scroll of Memory, Pigsy was trapped in the body of Zhu Ganglie. During this time, he made the discovery that he and Zhu Bajie were related. Once freed, Pigsy confronted the Brotherhood after successfully overcoming the protective curse. Together with Tang and Sandy, he joined forces to combat Yellowtusk and persuade him to align with the Monkie Kids to save the universe.

Personality
Pigsy is an incredibly short-tempered, stubborn yet loyal and good-hearted pig-man. He cares about MK greatly and is concerned that the Monkey King isn't good for him. Pigsy values tradition and hard-work.

Underneath his tough exterior, Pigsy is self-conscious about being seen as a monster, and hates being compared to Zhu Bajie.

LEGO Brawls
Pigsy is a playable character in LEGO Brawls. He is the third and final character that can be unlocked after collecting enough Season Trophies in the second week of Season 14 of LEGO Brawls, Special Delivery!. In addition, Pigsy's Hero variant can be unlocked in the final week of Season 14.

Pigsy is a short pink pig with a round build. He has whiskers on his cheeks and head.

Phone
Pigsy owns a mobile phone that he mainly uses for noodle orders. It is white and grey and has stains and scratch marks all over it. It has a sticker of the Pigsy's Noodles' logo on the back. It has two ringtones, one that beeps and one the oinks.
Rake
After his subconscious was awakened by Tang, Pigsy wielded a blue six tooth rake that originally belonged to his ancestor, Zhu Bajie, who used the rake in Journey to the West after being gifted it from the deities.
Sausage Nunchucks
In "Revenge of the Spider Queen", it was revealed that Pigsy keeps a sausage chain under his chef's jacket and uses them as nunchucks.

- Ping Pong mastery - Pigsy has a mastery over Ping Pong. With such skill, Pigsy can win any Ping Pong competition. However, because of his obsession of the game, he actually takes it seriously, up to the point where he unintentionally hurts the other competitor and can't stop playing, unless the Ping Pong table he uses is gone.
- Singing talent - Pigsy is a very talented singer.

Etymology
The name Pigsy originates from the Arthur Waley translation of Journey to the West, it comes from Zhū Bājiè (豬八戒); Zhū (豬) meaning pig or swine.

Behind the scenes
- One of the casting notes for Pigsy described him as sounding like a deeper-voiced Danny Devito.[9]
- He is animator Ryan Hoskin's favorite character.[10]
- He is the only character not to have his Hero variant appear in the show.
Trivia
- Pigsy is the first minifigure in the Monkie Kid theme to have mid-legs.
- Although they confirmed that there isn't any canon age for Pigsy, Storyboard director, Ashe Jacobson, sees him as being 43. [11]
- Pigsy's interest in Chang'e may be a reference to Zhu Bajie's desire for her in Journey to the West.
- On September 20, 2021, a promotional poster was released on 微博 (Weibo) in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, referring to Chang'e as Pigsy's sweetheart.[12]
- Ashe Jacobson once tweeted that Pigsy checks all boxes for: Who is best dad ____, Who loves Tang the most? ____, and Who always has your back? ____. [13]
- Ancillary material claims Pigsy used to be a warrior before opening his restaurant. [14]
