Short Description

The universe tears at the seams as MK and friends engage in a final standoff with The Brotherhood.[1]

Plot[]

Rip and Tear (60)

In the final standoff with the Brotherhood, Peng engages in a battle against Macaque, taunting him for his alliance with the heroes. In an attempt to understand Macaque's unwavering loyalty to the Monkey King, they question Monkey King's potential actions that might lead Macaque to relinquish his commitment toward the Great Sage. Macaque, however, only responds on how much he despises Peng, while Mei arrived through a shadow portal, narrowly hitting Peng with her Dragon Blade. Using her Dracokinesis, Mei relentlessly attacks Peng, who skillfully evades any harm inflicted upon them. Meanwhile, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy fight Yellowtusk, who persistently urges them to surrender. However, the trio remains resolute in their refusal, with Tang skillfully intercepting another attack from Yellowtusk. Tang elucidates the dire consequences that would ensue if Azure Lion emerges victorious. Despite being fully cognizant of the potential outcomes, Yellowtusk remains steadfast in his allegiance to Azure, citing their sworn brotherhood. Sandy, while empathizing with Yellowtusk, cautions him about the catastrophic implications of Azure Lion's actions. Suddenly, a barrage of projectiles from the Scroll of Memory were being shot down. In response, Tang summons a protective shield, encompassing not only the Monkie Kids but also Yellowtusk.

MK and Monkey King evade Azure Lion's attacks until they fell from their magic clouds. Azure offers MK a final chance to surrender in order to spare himself from the same fate as Monkey King. However, MK remains resolute and refuses to yield. The battle continues, with Azure summoning the Ink Demons to trap MK. Azure nearly stabbed MK with his sword, but MK used his shrinking powers to avoid it. Subsequently, Monkey King kicks Azure Lion across Flower Fruit Mountain, while both he and MK taunt Azure for how he was being defeated by them. Monkey King then used the Golden Staff to immobilize Azure. The monkeys began to retrieve the planks comprising the Scroll of Memory. Azure Lion underwent a transformation, assuming a colossal form to hoist the Golden Staff. Meanwhile, MK summoned the Monkey Mech, which attempted to impede Azure Lion's progress. However, Azure Lion effortlessly demolished the mech, only to discover the Party Clone and the Monkey King cardboard cutout concealed within. The Party Clone proceeded to hurl a banana at Azure, causing a detonation that engulfed his face.

A flashback then shows that Mei's plan was to let the Brotherhood come to them, since every final battle they've experienced, they jump in without a plan. In the present time, Azure realizes their plan and begins to go after Monkey King, scattering the planks of the scroll in the process. MK successfully blocks the attack, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to protecting Monkey King despite the latter's previous betrayals. Azure Lion, however, questions MK's loyalty, believing that he is destined to suffer the same fate as himself due to his trust in Monkey King. In a sudden turn of events, MK transforms into his Mystic Monkey form and unleashed a beam of energy, diverting everyone's attention. MK retaliates by striking Azure Lion with his tail and the two engage in a serious battle. Monkey King cheered on MK, but remembered that he still had to get the Scroll of Memory.

Rip and Tear (208)

Azure Lion was taken aback by the lightning speed of MK, unable to comprehend who or what he was. As his body began to fracture, he suddenly sensed MK's presence behind him and swiftly seized him. Azure Lion couldn't help but notice the devastating transformation Monkey King had inflicted upon MK, reducing him to a mere beast devoid of reason. However, MK managed to break free from his grasp, asserting that there was nothing mindless about him. Monkey King and the monkeys were gathering the scattered pieces again. Exhausted, Monkey King declared that they had finally collected all the pieces. However, his attention was quickly diverted as he witnessed the escalating intensity of the battle between MK and Azure. MK continued to battle Azure, accusing him of pretending to be his friend and using him for his own gain. Fueled by anger, MK challenged Azure to prove his heroism. In a final act of defiance, MK struck Azure Lion down, causing Flower Fruit Mountain to crumble. As a consequence, Azure Lion's control over the Power of the Jade Emperor weakened, leading to the realm falling into chaos. MK returns back to his human form, and the others soon realized the extent of the destruction upon the universe that had been unleashed.
