Season 1 is the first season of Monkie Kid. The season first premiered in Malaysia on September 13, 2020, and was then internationally released along with the pilot episode on Amazon Kids+ one year later on September 9, 2021, with it released on Prime Video on September 30th 2021.[1] The season contains ten episodes.

- All of Season 1 was adapted into a comic book series exclusive to China.
- This season, along with Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born, were adapted into Mandarin audio-books available on iQIYI and Dragonfly FM.
- The initial scripts for this season and the pilot were sent back during production, as story editor, David Breen, felt they didn't work and could be improved. [4]
