LEGO® Life Magazine Issue 2 2022Although these duplicates of Evil Macaque are almost as powerful as their creator, they can still be destroyed if they are hit hard enough.[1] |
History[]
Macaque[]
After stealing MK's powers, Macaque faced off against Monkey King, using his Shadow Monkeys against Monkey King's Clones. One of the Shadow Monkeys disguised itself as MK, tricking Monkey King and getting a good hit on him.
On the Run[]
Macaque used his Shadow Monkeys to hold down Monkey King while he intimidated MK, they were dissipated by a blast from the Dragon Blade
Great Grand Dragon of the East[]
As he prepared to attack the Dragon Palace of the East Sea, Macaque summoned many Shadow Monkeys, along with the Smoke Monster.
The Winning Side[]
The eyes of the Shadow Monkeys were visible in Macaque's copy of the T.E.A.
Appearance[]
Being made of in the image of Macaque, they share the same appearance as him. They are dark purple and slightly transparent. They also have bright white eyes that glow purple.

- Instead of resembling Macaque, like in the show, the Shadow Monkeys have unique appearances in the sets.
- Before settling on using the minifigure mold for the Wave 5 sets, designers considered using the LEGO City monkey mold in black with glowing white eyes.[2]
