(At the desert.)
Mei: Dumb Macaque. Dumb desert. Not blaming you or anything, MK.
MK: You know what? I can't even at you right now, Mei.
Sandy: (carrying both of them) Don't worry, gang. We just have to keep moving forever and ever until we're-
(Sandy collapses. The camera pans up to Red Son in front of the race car.)
MK: Wha...? Who's...
Red Son: Noodle Boy.
(Inside the Demon Bull King's fortress.)
MK: That's the good stuff.
Red Son: You're welcome, by the way.
Mei: Thanks, Red Boy. You're the man.
Red Son: It's Red Son! I should have just left you to the vultures.
MK: Yo. Your new crib is toight!
(His voice echoes through the fortress.)
MK: Very nice acoustics, too.
Red Son: Would you stop being so annoying? You three aren't even supposed to be here, so I'd appreciate if you finished up and went about whatever obnoxious business you were in the middle of before I saved your pathetic, meaningless lives.
MK: On it, boss. Your wish is our demand.
Red Son: What were you noodle brains doing out there anyway?
Mei: Looking for the Samadhi Fire.
Red Son: (spits his water.) The Samadhi wha-?
(Demon Bull King enters from behind a lavafall.)
Demon Bull King: The little thief returns.
MK: Yo. Daddy. I mean, demon daddy. I mean, Mr. Bull King, sir. We -- we still cool, right?
Red Son: Father. You're back earlier than I expected.
Princess Iron Fan: I was expecting a banquet. I wasn't expecting company.
(MK laughs.)
Sandy: This is so awkward.
Mei: Uh-huh.
Princess Iron Fan: I trust you realize our little truce is, at best, a fragile thing. So, tell me, what precisely have you intruded on our dinner plans?
Red Son: They're looking for the Samadhi Fire.
Demon Bull King: What?!
MK: I see you've heard of it?
Demon Bull King: I can only assume the Great Sage has sent you on this moronic quest.
Princess Iron Fan: That flame is one of the most dangerous weapons in existence. What reason would Sun Wukong have to --
MK: The Lady Bone Demon. We need it to defeat her. She's an ancient --
Demon Bull King: I know what she is!
MK: Then you know we need the fire to stop her.
Princess Iron Fan: What exactly do you know of the Samadhi Fire?
MK: Well, we know that it's...ah... well, it's super powerful.
Mei: And that it was split into three and hid in super special rings.
Sandy: And that reforging it could destroy all life as we know it.
(All three nod.)
Princess Iron Fan: But you know nothing of its origin?
(All three shake their heads.)
Demon Bull King: Pah. Typical Sun Wukong, revealing only the information he chooses.
MK: Well, if you guys know so much, then you tell us. What don't we know?
Princess Iron Fan: That the Samadhi Fire was created... by our own son.
(Red Son, Mei, and MK all are surprised.)
Sandy: Ok, following.
Red Son: Um, Mother?
Princess Iron Fan: When Red Son was born, he appeared to be the same as any other demonic child, a promising addition to the Demon Bull Family. Too promising. As he grew, his power became... unstable. Even with our combined might, we could not control him. Reluctantly --
Demon Bull King: We were given no option but to... remove this power.
(Flashback. Red Son hovers in the air, laughing.)
Demon Bull King: Our bodies were deemed the most likely to survive separating the fire from the child. It took our combined forces to split the flame into three pieces, sealing their power.
(The Rings are created. DBK holds the now de-powered Red Son in the palm of his hand.)
Demon Bull King: Together, we swore to keep the rings hidden for all eternity.
(Flashback end.)
Demon Bull King: So you can see that it would be impossible for fools such as yourselves to control that power if even the spawn of the Demon Bull King himself could not.
MK: I mean, I'm the Monkie Kid, remember? We've pulled off all sorts of crazy stuff before. There ain't nothing we can't do if we do it as a team.
Sandy: Yeah.
Mei: That's right.
Red Son: Urgh, let me go, noodle brain.
Princess Iron Fan: Well, I, for one, think that's quite enough story time for one day. Come along, my love. I do believe that little baking show you like is about to start.
Demon Bull King: Coming, dear.
(His nose ring glimmers. MK notices and points.)
Red Son: So, I guess you three will be heading off about now, then.
(Red Son touches Mei's shoulder, and they see a vision of the land aflame.)
Red Son: What the-
MK: Well, actually, this whole area is surrounded by lava pits, and it's pretty dark out, right, Sandy?
Sandy: Yeah, we could fall right on in and --
(He screams and pantomimes falling into a lava pit.)
Sandy: You get me?
(Red Son sighs.)
(In a guest bedroom of the Demon Bull Family.)
Red Son: Will that be all, then?
MK: It's a bit cold. An extra blanket would be good.
Red Son: What? You're not serious? I suppose you'll be wanting some warm milk while you're at it?!
MK: Gee, that'll be swell. Thanks, friend.
(Red Son groans and leaves.)
Red Son: I can't believe I'm doing this.
MK: Thank you. (To Mei and Sandy) This is our chance. All right. So, DBK obviously just kept his ring like the jerk he is, and it's been under his nose the whole time.
Mei: Alight, then. What's the plan, Monkey Man?
MK: Under cover of darkness, I'll infiltrate DBK's fortress, bypass his security systems, sneak into his bedroom, and snatch that nose ring. Meanwhile, Mei, Sandy, you'll find us a getaway vehicle, and we'll be home free, ring in hand. Then, find the other two, beat the Lady Bone Demon, and save the world from total destruction. Okay. Any questions?
Mei: Nope. Sounds like a good plan, MK.
Sandy: Flawless.
(MK, Mei and Sandy go about their missions. Mei gasps upon seeing the race car.)
Mei: Perfect. What?
(She sees a hand scanner.)
Mei: Oh, no. I guess that's it, then. Guess we better go home, give up, we're done.
Sandy: Wait, look.
(Sandy sees an air vent leading into the hangar.)
Sandy: I got this. I trained my whole life for this moment.
Mei: Yeah, Sandy. You've got this.
(He gets stuck in the vent.)
Mei: Oh.
Sandy: Um, a little help?
Red Son: What are you doing?!
Mei: We were just- Dragon Horse Girl sneak attack!
(She punches Red Son and knocks him out. Mei uses Red Son's palm to break into the hangar.)
Mei: Success!
Sandy: Yeah!
(They steal the car.)
Voice on TV: What is that thing I always say? Cooking is life and life is cooking.
Demon Bull King: Life is cooking...
Voice on TV: Tune in next week when I teach you how to bake the perfect moon cake. Goodbye, now!
MK: Ew, ew, ew, ew, ew, butt rope. Ew. All right. Here comes Spider Kid, coming for that big old nose Ring of Samadhi.
(DBK wakes up.)
MK: Sorry, Imma just --
(MK grabs the ring. DBK awakens and screams in pain.)
MK: I got it. I got the ring. Uh oh.
(He falls, but Mei and Sandy on the car catch him.)
MK: Guys. Yo, yo, Mei. What's the plan here, bro?!
Mei: Here comes White Horse Dragon Girl Kid, yeah!
(She reforms the race car into the Dragon Car.)
Mei: Oh, yeah!
MK: Whoa!
Sandy: Awesome!
(DBK jumps from fortress. The gang screams and drives away.)
Princess Iron Fan: They escaped with the ring, then?
Demon Bull King: Indeed. The Monkey King has doomed us all.
Princess Iron Fan: Perhaps. How did they even sneak a race car in here?
(Red Son wakes in the hangar.)
Red Son: Those little- huh?
(He sees Mei's plushie and remembers the vision. He glares.)
(Sandy, MK, and Mei driving through the desert.)
MK: Our very first ring. Just wait until the other guys see this.
(The car spins out of control. MK is sent flying.)
Mei: MK!
(MK lands on the T.E.A.)
Pigsy: MK?!
Tang: You found the first ring!
Mei: Guys!
Sandy: Mo! Pigsy! Tangy!
(The Dragon Car breaks down.)
Sandy: All right, LE-GO!
(Tang writes about the ring in his book. Mei looks at the ring afar, deep in thought.)
