The Underworld Temple is the residence for the Kings of the Underworld and a repository for their artifacts.

History

Past

Long ago, the Underworld Temple was built as a sacred place solely for the Kings of the Underworld. Inside its boundaries, they kept all the precious artifacts they had crafted. It was also where they bestowed the Scroll of Memory with its protective curse. In his quest for immortality, the Monkey King once infiltrated the Underworld Temple, determined to cross his name out of the Book of the Dead.

Familiar Tales

One of the Kings of the Underworld surreptitiously entered the Underworld Temple, seeking to procure a bamboo plank.

Better Than We Found It

After recovering the Scroll of Memory, the Kings of the Underworld assembled in the temple to plan their next moves in the Jade Emperor's absence. The leader of the kings warned of the consequences that any of them would face if they were held accountable for the universe's impending destruction. In the meantime, the king who was responsible departed from the Underworld Temple.
