— Yellowtusk[src] |

History[]
Past[]
Yellowtusk originally lived in the Celestial Realm. During his time there, he met Azure Lion and Peng as he had a feast with them and became great friends.[5] Together with the two, Yellowtusk became a nigh-unstoppable warrior.[6] Because of the Jade Emperor's selfish rule towards the mortal realm, Yellowtusk left the Celestial Realm with Azure and Peng, and would later on meet Monkey King, who inspired Yellowtusk to stand up against the Jade Emperor.[7]
Yellowtusk gathered alongside the rest of the Brotherhood at Flower Fruit Mountain, laughing at Sun Wukong's daring tale of how he had defied the Jade Emperor and the Celestial Realm, prompting Yellowtusk to jokingly question if they were to believe that Wukong actually gave the Jade Emperor such lip. As the Brotherhood began to talk about their rebellion, Yellowtusk agreed with Peng on how the Jade Emperor and his followers have neglected the people of the realms for too long. As well as agree that Azure was most fitting to lead them, but still happily accepting Wukong as the head of their rebellion after Azure rejected the position and nominated Wukong instead.[7]
Later on, Yellowtusk and the Brotherhood are rebelled against Heaven. Whilst they were able to see success at first, they were soon defeated and surrounded following Wukong fall and submission to the Jade Emperor. However for unknown reasons, he, Peng, and Azure were able to escape and travel to make a home. By casting a spell that drained the energy of the area around them, Yellowtusk and the Brotherhood created Camel Ridge, a paradise to compete against the Celestial Realm as a sort of alternative plan after their rebellion had failed.[8][9]
One day, Yellowtusk, his brothers, and Macaque, discussesed about Wukong's betrayal of joining the Celestial Realm, with Yellowtusk asking Azure for his opinion on their next course of action.[10] During the Journey to the West, the Celestial Court, sent the pilgrims and Wukong to defeat and apprehend Yellowtusk and the other sworn brothers, to which they succeeded. The Brotherhood were then punished by being locked away in the Scroll of Memory, where they remained for many years till their release in the present day.[8]
The Brotherhood[]

With the protective curse to the Scroll of Memory gone, Yellowtusk broke free from the scroll, attacking Sandy and Pigsy with his mallet and knocking them both to the ground , preventing them from attacking Peng after the former had knocked Mei into a pillar, before pinning Sandy to the ground. Afterwards he and Peng reunite with the Azure Lion, questioning how long they had been stuck in the Scroll of Memory. Yellowtusk then happily embraced his brother in a hug. After the Azure Lion was done explaining his cause and its outcome to MK, Yellowtusk told the Monkie Kids that they intend to stage another coup at the Celestial Realm, thus getting revenge on the Celestial Host for his mistreatment toward life.

Because the Brotherhood refused to free Monkey King until they succeeded, MK tried to take the bamboo slip from the Azure Lion, promoting Yellowtusk and Peng to try to stop him, which eventually led to the Azure Lion accidentally cutting the plank in two. As the two groups felt remorse, Yellowtusk took Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy's weapons and explained that the Celestial Realm was their place of origin. Commenting that they were once used by the Celestial Realm against the weak, and now they would be used to oppose it. He then used the khakkhara to teleport himself, the Azure Lion, and Peng out of Camel Ridge.
Roast of the Monkie Kids[]

Yellowtusk and his brothers attacked the Demon Bull Family, with Yellowtusk using the ancestral weapons to subdue Princess Iron Fan. Whilst listening to Azure attempt to sway the Demon Bull King to their side, when this fails, Yellowtusk and Peng were knocked back by the enraged Demon Bull King's blast after Azure insults him. Afterwards, Azure used the Scroll of Memory to seal away both Princess Iron Fan and the Demon Bull King, letting Red Son escape so as to act as their messenger to the Celestial Realm warning of their imminent attack. Yellowtusk lamented that the Demon Bull King was their last hope for allies against the Celestial Realm, but was reassured by Azure that the three of them would be enough to overthrown the Jade emperor.

Yellowtusk returned to Camel Ridge with his sworn brothers, drawing a pattern on the ground with the stolen weapons for a teleporting spell to bring them to the Celestial Realm. He and his brothers then teleported to the Celestial Realm, where Nezha, Red Son and the Celestial Armies waited to face them head on.
The Jade Emperor[]

Yellowtusk battled numerous Celestial Warriors, using his mallet to pulverise many of them. Afterwards, he and his brothers cornered Ne Zha, who acted as the only barrier between them and their goal. Before they can finish him off though, backup in the form of the Monkie Kids on top of their airship arrived. Yellowtusk and Peng tried to retrieve the broken plank containing Wukong after Mei steals it from Azure, to which they are rebutted by a now much stronger Sandy and Pigsy. However, they were still able to defeat the heroes and corner them against the doors leading to the Jade Emperor's throne room.

Following MK's arrival and the heroes escaping, Yellowtusk and his brothers then walked through the now destroyed doors of the throne room to confront the dying Jade Emperor. He and Peng watched as the Jade Emperor claimed that if he were not in his current state, they would not have stood a chance, before watching Azure battle the Jade Emperor and won, absorbing his powers. Yellowtusk nervously called out for his brother after Peng bows to the now more powerful Azure.
The Plan Man[]
Yellowtusk used the ancestral weapons to help Azure repair the universe when it began to break apart again. Concerned that they acted prematurely, Yellowtusk tried to explain to Azure that his control over the Power of the Jade Emperor is putting the Celestial Realm at risk, but to no avail.
Yellowtusk was at the dining hall with Peng, warning them that Azure's rule is causing the universe to break apart since he couldn't control the Jade Emperor's power. Azure Lion joined the two as he recalled the day they all first met, saying that they should celebrate as they planned to make the better world they wished. Yellowtusk, however, knew that there's nothing to celebrate. He explains to Azure is causing to world to break apart since he misjudged the Power of the Jade Emperor, meaning they can't go forth with their plan. Only for Azure to angrily object this as he told Yellowtusk and Peng that without him, they would still be locked in the Scroll of Memory.
Azure Lion began to believe that his struggle was because of Monkey King being alive. Despite trying to make Azure listen to reason, Yellowtusk was taken to Flower Fruit Mountain, where he and the rest of the Brotherhood started their battle with the Monkie Kids, Monkey King, and Macaque.
Rip and Tear[]
Yellowtusk fought Sandy, Pigsy, and Tang, declaring his superiority. Despite their reluctance to engage in combat, Yellowtusk attacked them with his mallet, but Tang created a shield to block the attack. Yellowtusk acknowledged the potential consequences of Azure's actions, but felt indebted to him since they're sworn brothers. Sandy and Pigsy told their concern for the world's well-being to Yellowtusk, and refused to sacrifice it for any cause. Yellowtusk then noticed a piece of the Scroll of Memory as the several more launched at them. Tang created another shield to protect them from the debris, including Yellowtusk.
Yellowtusk would eventually hold Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy hostage by using the ancestral weapons. However, they all noticed the fragmentation of the universe because Azure's inability to control the Power of the Jade Emperor. Realizing what was happening, Yellowtusk spoke in a solemn tone, uttering Azure's name with a sense of despair.
Better Than We Found It[]
Yellowtusk had succumbed to the belief that the universe was beyond restoration and that all was lost. But the Monkie Kids refused to give up and informed Yellowtusk that hope remained as long as they stood. Despite his doubts, Yellowtusk was swayed by their optimism and, in an act of trust, returned their ancestral weapons to them. Tang took charge and rallied the team and Yellowtusk, using his powers to transport them to the Shuilian Cave. Mei and Macaque were waiting at the entrance of the Shuilian Cave when Yellowtusk, Pigsy, Sandy, and Tang arrived. The group was relieved to see that the universe had been restored. With his mallet in hand, Yellowtusk lent a hand to Tang, the rest of the Monkie Kids, and Macaque as they worked together to restore the Shuilian Cave.
Yellowtusk was sentenced to imprisonment in the Celestial Realm as a result of his crimes. Nevertheless, he made it known that he did not denounce the noble intentions of the Brotherhood. He acknowledged their aspiration to construct a superior world and protect it with unwavering determination. However, he confessed that it took him a considerable amount of time to comprehend the genuine essence of heroes, a realization that dawned upon him while observing the actions and virtues of the Monkie Kids. Subsequently, Ne Zha transported Yellowtusk and himself to the Celestial Realm.
Personality[]
- “Yellowtusk is tough, smart, and faster than he looks. He was a handful even before he had your weapons. But he's not a monster. Maybe we can make him see reason.”
- ―Monkey King
Yellowtusk lives up to his title, and despite his strength, he is shown to be the most intelligent of the Brotherhood. He is also rather quiet.
Yellowtusk has the most common-sense of the Brotherhood. When Azure Lion was overwhelmed by the Power of the Jade Emperor, Yellowtusk was the only one to realize that Azure's goals were mostly focused on retribution than making a better world for everyone, leading him to help the Monkie Kids and the rest to help save the universe from destruction, and in addition to accepting his incarceration after the Brotherhood was defeated.[5][11]

- LEGO designer, John Ho, said in an interview that Yellowtusk's giant form was based on war elephants.[12]
- He is (maybe) one of David Breen's favorite characters.[13]
- In Journey to the West, he is known as the Yellow-Toothed Elephant instead. In the novel, he is also revealed to be the steed of the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra. [14]
- His minifigure's six tusks also reference his role as steed.
Trivia[]
- Despite being bigger than Sandy or the Strong Spider, Yellowtusk doesn't have fingers like they do.
- This is presumably to keep consistency with his minifigure, which uses the generic LEGO torso.
- Yellowtusk may have presbyopia or age-related farsightedness, as he is seen wearing glasses while drawing in "A Lifetime of Mistakes".
